With kids back to school and schedules on track, weekends are back to being weekends! The cool air and a couple days off with the kids means “Family Fun”. This time of year is my favorite with so many festivities and fairs to bring on Fall. Here are 4 fun things I like to do this September…
St. George Applefest – LOVE this festival! (other than the bees) To get out to the cute little town of St. George and check out all the great vendors, from candles to home decor they have it all. The food is fantastic with lots of options. DO NOT forget to grab yourself and everyone you know an Apple Dumpling (drool). This all happens September 16 & 17. Check it out! There are so many things to do for adults and kids. From jumpy castles to pony rides you will not be disappointed!
Christie Lake Antique Show – If you are looking for one of a kind furniture/decor this is the place for you! Make sure you give yourself enough time to browse through all the amazing antiques, this event is huge. They have vendors with reclaimed wood to retro 70’s furniture and everything in between. I always find great pieces. If it’s raining make sure you grab your rubber boots and a hot coffee, it’s definitely worth it rain or shine…. Check it out September 9th & 10th.
Ancaster Fair – We had so much fun at Paris Fair we need another one! Next on the list is Ancaster Fair. Not much to explain other than candy apples, rides and fair fries!! Need I say more LOL. Don’t forget to visit this fair, it’s always a good time for everyone. It starts September 21st and ends September 24th.
Brantford Farmer’s Market – This is not really a festival or fair but still a fun thing to attend. You can pick up fresh produce, grab some lunch and sooooo many treats! Don’t forget to pick up some freshly picked apples this time of year to make delicious homemade pies and crumble. It’s open every Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 7am-2pm.
I hope you get out and enjoy your weekends with family! If you have any other fun things to do in and around Brantford please share, I am always up for new events to explore with my family. Make sure you leave a comment below!
